HYPO Steiermark - Cultural Partner of Friedrich Kleinhapl
-
The cultural partnership between HYPO Steiermark and Friedrich Kleinhapl is likely to be designated as a unique initiative among Styrian banks. This partnership was launched in the autumn of 2002 and has formally existed since the beginning of 2003.
The philosophy behind it combines the admirable cultural interests of the bank’s Board of Directors with clear image-marketing and technical considerations. Through its association with this established, classical cellist, the bank has created an emotional connection to their professional expertise as a high-end financial services company. In return, it allows Friedrich Kleinhapl to implement complex projects beyond the usual market-based criteria.
The uniqueness lies in the partnership with an individual artist who diametrically goes against the currently prevailing marketing concepts and initiatives. Provided that similar partnerships exist in the arts, they usually only refer to groups of artists.
The bank has managed through this partnership to gain a strong reputation as a quality conscious company, if nothing else because of the shared commitment at the “Eggenberger Schlosskonzerten” in the years 2003 to 2006.
After many very successful projects, one can speak of an absolute win-win situation. A situation, which will hopefully lead to more beautiful, shared experiences, not only for the HYPO Steiermark, their customers and Friedrich Kleinhapl, but also for a broader public interested in the arts.

Werner Hochegger
-
Werner Hochegger has been a sponsor to Friedrich Kleinhapl since 2008. At the suggestion of the cellist, he established a chamber music hall in the north wing of the castle Rabenstein, which Hochegger acquired in 2005 and renovated in 2009. The excellent chamber acoustics, together with the beautiful Fazioli piano, makes it an ideal setting for exclusive chamber music recitals.
